John pushes the heavy door open and the scent of polished wood and candle wax drifts over them. Lisa steps inside first. Her heels click against marble. They signed the forms online three nights ago, laughing between nervous sips of wine. Now the house is real—vaulted ceilings, low lamps, velvet everywhere. A woman in black silk greets them with a slow kiss on each cheek. She slides a single key into John’s palm and nods toward the staircase. “Top floor. First door on the right. No rush.” Upstairs the bedroom is dim. A wide bed waits, sheets turned down. Lisa sets her clutch on the dresser and turns to face him. She pulls the thin straps of her dress down her arms, lets the silk fall to the floor. Nothing underneath but smooth skin and a silver anklet. John’s breath catches. He steps close, palms sliding over her hips. They kiss—slow, then harder. She opens his shirt, pushes it back off his shoulders. Her fingers find his belt, work it open. He lifts her onto the edge of the dresser, spreads her thighs, sinks to his knees. His tongue finds her wet and ready. She grips the wood, hips rolling forward, soft sounds escaping her throat. They move to the bed. She straddles him, takes him in one steady push. Heat wraps tight around him.
